ArticleOne Great Curse? I call Christianity the *one* great curse, the *one* great intrinsic depravity, the *one* great instinct for revenge for which no expedient is sufficiently poisonous, secret, subterranean, *petty* -- I call it the *one* mortal blemish of mankind. Friedrich Nietzsche A certain sense of cruelty towards oneself and others is Christian; hatred of those who think differently; the will to persecute. Mortal hostility against the masters of the earth, against the 'noble', that is also Christian; hatred of mind, of pride, courage, freedom, libertinage of mind, is Christian; hatred of the senses, of joy in general, is Christian... No god ever gave any man anything, nor ever answered any prayer at anytime, nor ever will. What has been the fruits of Christianity? ...Superstition, bigotry and persecution. An equally long life of decent living and good works followed by one outburst of taking the name of the lord in vain-- then have a heart attack at that moment and be damned for eternity. Is that the system?" Religion; A Daughter of Hope and Fear trying to teach to Ignorance the nature of the unknowable. God didn't create Man. Man created God One of the most amusing things in the world is to go to a church and watch Christians scramble around under the watchful eye of their schizophrenia. A clarification of Christianity: Thou shalt not kill, except in the name of God, Jesus Christ, or the Holy Ghost. If Jesus loves everybody then why would he send people to hell? Ignorance is the mother of devotion. The truths of religion are never so well understood as by those who have lost the power of resoning. The more I study religions the more I am convinced that man never worshipped anything but himself. If you don't even give a thought to the wackos on the streets that go around saying they are god, why on earth would you believe some guy who went around saying it two thousand years ago? What does it say about God if he goes to the trouble of creating an existence only to shower it with misery unless they worship him?
