Born in Topeka, Kansas, shaped by long stints in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and now in Austin, Texas, J. Blunt is not your typical conservative commentator. He is not confused by the labels political parties try to attach to issues in order to get votes. He became politically active campaigning for the Save our Springs ordinance in Austin, Texas in 1990. He has since been a political blog or two and more recently a published columnist in two local newspapers.
