Sahotra Sarkar

Dr. Sahotra Sarkar is originally from India. He is a faculty member in the Department of Philosophy, Section of Integrative Biology, at the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently working on two projects: the biology of the mind, which involves the analysis of the role of genes in psychological traits, and the implications of the Human Genome Project for human self-understanding; and the conservation of biological resources through habitat protection. His interests include the philosophy of biology and environmental philosophy.
