Our mission:
Provide a forum to address issues of concern for those who have minoritybelief systems and to promote a greater understanding and tolerancethroughout USAFA of those withalternate religious perspectives. The club will also act as a source offellowship for cadets who share a commitment to common principles such asfreedom of religion, pluralism, and the separation of church and state, aswell as to provide a format for discussing and exploring areas offreethought.
Well, if that organization existed, that is how it's mission
statement would probably read.
A cadet Freethinkers group at the Air Force Academy really did exist
for a short time a few years ago. Hopefully
it will exist again. Some freethinkers in the Colorado Springs area and
members of the Military Association of Atheists and Freethinkers (MAAF)
are available to help form a new cadet freethinker group.
For more information, contact usafa@freethought.org.
